Welcome

If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

  • How to Vibrate at the Same Frequency of ANY Desire

Science has discovered (to explain it simply) that once you break everything down to the core, pure energy is behind everything. This pure energy vibrates a field around it. A vibrating field of energy, that attracts (like a magnet) and attaches to energy of the same vibrating frequency. The more vibrating energy that is compressed into this field of energy, the more intense the vibrating gets within the field. Eventually the energy field manifests into matter.

What does this have to do with how to vibrate at the same frequency of any desire? Be patient, stick with me here; everything has a vibrating energy field and behind the field is pure energy. This pure energy has a source that is found within everything throughout the universe. What is this source? Consciousness. Yet, the source of consciousness behind everything can be measured by the amount of awareness it has within any given energy field. In other words, there are different levels of awareness to every conscious state.

For example, if you drop an object, that object has just enough awareness within its energy field to know what to do. It has a level of awareness that gives it the ability to know and obey the law of gravity. The gravitational pull also has a source level of consciousness, it has enough awareness to pull things down.

The Layers Stacked On Top of Consciousness
In short everything can be stripped away in layers. The layers mentioned above are layered in this order:
    • The first layer is Matter
    • The layer below Matter is a Vibrating Field of Energy
    • Take away the Field of Energy and you have the layer of Pure Energy
    • Behind the layer of Pure Energy is Consciousness
    • Consciousness is the Source of Everything

The Layers of Awareness within Consciousness
Consciousness also has layers, as mentioned above, the layers of awareness. Those layers are defined in this order:
    • Action/ Reaction - This is the last layer of awareness. This is the layer of objects.
    • Stimulus Response - This is the next layer above objects. You will find this layer of awareness in cells. At this level, the cells are only aware of the group as a whole, a herd, and responding together with no realization of self or others (nests, hives, etc).
    • Stimulus Individual Response - This layer has even more of an awareness than Stimulus Response. This amount of awareness is the recognition of individuals. In this layer of awareness, families are created through realizing individuals inside the group/ the herd. Monkeys and mammals similar to them (the awareness to develop families) have this layer of awareness.
    • Similarities and Difference - Stimulus response means reactioning to things. To see similarities and differences between things, allows the ability to make decisions about things, rather then just reacting. The mind/ ego is the tool that notices similarities and differences between things. Anything that has a mind/ego has this layer of awareness.
    The Layers Reveal Something Significant
Every layer above the lesser one has the awareness of the layers below it too. For example, when you are trapped in a traffic jam. You feel much like part of a herd. You're feeling the layer of Stimulus Response. Yet, when you're feeling like you're an individual, there is an extreme difference in your awareness. This understanding is very important. The importance lays within the fact that Consciousness is the Source of Everything and you have the awareness of every layer of consciousness in existence. This is significant because it allows you the privilege to attract and attach to ANY energy field. You have the ability to vibrate at ANY frequency and manifest ANY energy field into matter.

How to Vibrate at the Same Frequency of ANY Desire
Just like the law of gravity, there is something known as: the law of attraction. The law of attraction happens based on feeling.

Feelings are a tricky thing because we believe that what we feel is caused by circumstance of our environment. For example, when we are stuck in traffic, we believe that we feel like part of a herd BECAUSE OF the traffic jam.

However, if we bring consciousness to what feelings are and how they are created, we see that feelings are caused by our thoughts about the situation. Feelings are literally produced by believing our thoughts about something.

The law of attraction states that what you repeatedly feel, is what you will eventually attract into your life. But the good news, is that, you can choose to feel how you desire to feel.

    Choosing What to Feel
Feelings are strange sensations because they are not based on anything but thoughts, and thoughts can change as much as imagination can change. For example, a friend of mine was going to meet me at my house. He was running late, and I was feeling angry at him for being so late. The next day we had the same plans and he was late again, but this time I had some extra things to do before I could leave the house with him and so I was happy that he was late because I needed more time.

The same situation both times, but opposite feelings. I realized in that moment that I could choose to be angry or happy, by understanding that whatever I'm feeling is not the cause of another or the situation. The other or situation may be a trigger or stimulus to what is already there in me (coming to the surface), but how I choose to feel is my responsibility. Yes, people are responsible for what they say and do, but I am responsible for how I feel about that. This realization empowered me to choose how to feel.

Hence, the first day that I got angry, if I would have used that time in a constructive manner, instead of waiting on him, then I could have worked with the universe and what was happening. In other words, instead of being mad at the way life was happening, I could have saw that this is now my opportunity to do other things (hence have different feelings).

Using Feelings to Align with Your Desires
The universe knows exactly what it is doing and I can work with it or go against it. Every time I have gone against it, I felt awful because I thought I knew what was best and I believed those thoughts, hence why I felt awful. Every time your thoughts are out of alignment with what you truly desire, you will know by how you're feeling.

It's actually surprisingly simple; when we're feeling awful, it's our opportunity to feel what we desire instead. Life will constantly remind us that we're out of alignment with our desires, by how we're feeling.

    Consciousness is the Key
Of course, we developed this conditioning that is habitual. The habit of blaming others (or the situation) for the cause of how we are feeling. Hence, it takes some practice to be conscious. Remember, consciousness is the source everything? You must become conscious of how you are feeling. This is the key. The more conscious you are, the more capability you have to be aware when you're feeling awful.

Usually we're not conscious of what we're feeling because we're too busy in our thoughts blaming others (or the situation). If and when we can become aware that we're feeling awful, then we have a choice to take responsibility for how we're feeling.

We have no choice in how we're feeling until we become conscious. All choices happen in consciousness. The stronger the feeling, the less conscious we are. The less conscious we are, the more challenging it is to choose. The more challenging it is to choose, the less choice we have.

Using the Layers of Awareness within Consciousness
As mentioned, Consciousness is the foundational layer. Without the foundation of consciousness, we cannot effect the Vibrating Field of Energy (the middle layer). Which is effected through feeling repetitive feelings. Repetitive feelings turn into Matter. (the top layer).

Now we have the layers of consciousness. The lower the level, the more challenging, since the less choice is seen. When one is only conscious at the level of Stimulus Response, they see the whole environment of life as the source and fault of everything. At this level, depression can unfold, if one remains here too long, because nobody has control or choice over the whole environment of life itself.

At the level of Stimulus Individual Response, there feels to be more conscious choice because the blame is focused on a group of people or an individual person. The blame says "if only this group of people or person would change or leave, then I would feel better". Because this level is above Stimulus Response, it feels like there is more choice.

The next level up within the layers of consciousness is Similarities and Difference. At this level, your ability to choose a different response is significantly higher because you're not just simply responding to stimulus. You have the ability to compare similarities and differences, which is where you start to become more aware (you notice more because consciousness is more active).

For example, when the insight came to me about how feelings are not produced by situations or people, I was comparing the difference between the two days (the first day I got angry at my friend for being late and the second day I felt happy with my friend being late). Also, I was seeing that both days were extremely similar (we planed to meet at the same place and time, and he was late again).

Are you beginning to grasp how it works?
