Welcome

If you're interested in conscious living, then likely you're just as equally interested in Zen but simply not knowingly interested.

Usually Zen is associated with Japanese culture and religious or Buddhism practice, but true Zen (or at least the way this site uses the term) is emphasizing the value of conscious living.

Zen and conscious living come together and go hand-in-hand. Hence, conscious living without Zen is a huge oversight and vice-versa because these are not two.

"Conscious Flex: Zen & Conscious Living" is designed to offer a partnership of how these seemingly two are actually one movement.

Zen is the foundational spaciousness or presence from which conscious living derives. In the same manner that an artist, inventor or intuitive actions come from the stillness in the silence of non-movement.

In other words, Zen is a resting in the powerful space of not thinking about thought, not doing anything about doing, not trying to be the solver or understander, the knower collector but simply allowing the intelligence of life to flow through you and as you.

What is described can be thought of as meditation or accessing our intuition, but it's actually just natural living.

Often you will see kids in a natural resting space or presence and we tell them "snap out of it" because we think they are in "lala land" or "fantasy land" and not paying attention but actually they are simply being completely present with what is. It's natural to just rest and be, that's the flow from which insight and wisdom arises from.

Hence, conscious living is also the natural flow of how life organically expands upon itself. Consequently, conscious living is Zen living, when it's pure and without conceptual overlays.

Enjoy!
  • How to Higher Your Current Level of Consciousness: Volume Three

As a continuation of Volume One and Two here are the last ways to higher your current level of consciousness:

    5. Challenge- Working hard in challenging yourself to grow is highly expanding on your level of consciousness. Growth will happen automatically, yet when you challenge yourself then you rapidly increase your growth and hence increase your consciousness.

Challenge these things in your life to higher your consciousness level:

    · Fears- Every time you notice a fear accept that fear as truth in your reality. Running away from fears will only make them stronger since what you resist persist in reality. In other words, the more you fight to refuse to accept a fear the more you make it present since that is where your focus is and what you focus on grows. If you seek to change a fear then you must dive head in and tackle it. The more fears you tackle, the more unconscious conditionings you rid of and in turn become remarkably more conscious. · Beliefs- Challenging your beliefs is an incredibly high state of conscious awareness since you allow yourself to be open to more empowering beliefs. We have the beliefs we do because of a series of experiences. Through these experiences or events, (sometimes it is not our own experience) we adopted a pattern that made sense to us in those moments. Not ever realizing that beliefs are a choice we make and we can choose to change them in any moment. The easiest way to know if you should challenge a belief is if the belief says, “I can’t” or “Not possible”. If people had no limiting beliefs then they would experience their infinite potential in full.
    · Negativity- Each time you find yourself in the face of a negative experience challenge yourself to appreciate it from a universe perspective. If we feel disconnected from a situation in life and rather not be experiencing it then we will most often label that situation as ‘negative’ for the reasoning of not accepting it as a part of who we choose to be. Yet it is important to accept responsibility for even the negative situation then you give yourself the power to change it. The whole reason for any experience is to call forth a remembrance of who you really are as an infinite potential of all that is and all that is not. Within this infinite potential of who you are anything is possible and once you stop trying to control, move past, go beyond, cast out, go above or run from the possibilities of ‘negative’ experiences then there is no reason for them to happen anymore. In other words, the instant you realize and accept that everything is equal, then you recognize you cannot go beyond or move past negative situations because the negative situations are equal to you since you are infinitely everything. Hence, you are accepting to let go and allow the idea that the possibility of ‘negative’ situations have the potential to happen at anytime and you are perfectly content with that idea since you realize every ‘negative’ situation is created by you for you to empower yourself. All it takes is that realization and negative situations will eliminate within your existence. Negative experiences are very challenging in and of themselves, let alone taking your awareness while in the mist of them and consciously challenging yourself to see the universal standpoint, yet if you do then the result is profound. 6. Inner Roots- Developing a strong connection with your-Self is one of the most conscious things one can do. To go deep within the root of who you really are and build a connection and understanding of Self is really essential to the conscious purpose.

You can develop inner roots through these methods:
    · Love Self- This is not about being conceded or selfish, this is about knowing your-Self as who you really are and accepting every part of you. It is about being gentle, caring, and compassionate and building a relationship with your-Self. At a very conscious level, there is no emotion involved, the natural state of being comes out and you feel unconditional about your-Self and everyone else too since you know who you are completely.
    · Journal- Keeping a journal is very Self-exploring opportunity into Self-discovery and personal growth of oneself. You allow your-Self to investigate your own psyche. Journaling offers a higher consciousness vibration that opens up states of consciousness that otherwise may never be found save through writing (or typing).
    · Meditate- There are infinite types of meditations and each individual experiences meditation differently. For me it is about many things: clearing myself/ balancing/ centering/ searching from within/ manipulating energy/ stay grounded/ quieting the mind/ relieving stress/ focusing/ visualizing/ connecting to Self and many other things. Some people find a state of meditation though almost anything from daydreaming to completely challenging tasks, yet whatever it means to you, the art of meditation is advised for a high state of consciousness.
    · Solitude- Most of the profound discoveries (remembrances) are found while alone. We are all here to help each other but the experiences of the most insightful things are a journey through understanding Self first and understanding Self is not possible while in the company of others, you are most yourself when you are alone. Therefore, always set time aside for just you.
    · Creative- Creativity is unlimited because it comes out of the imagination, which is infinite potential. If you desire to reach into the deepest part of who you really are, creativity is one of the best ways because creativity only lives within the infinite potential of who you really are. Every time you are expressing your creativity, you are expressing your true self, from that point, you can know, feel, and even experience parts of your infinite potential.
